Gorenje Jelenje is a settlement to the northwest of Dole in the Litija municipality in central Slovenia. Traditionally the area was part of Lower Carniola and is now included with the rest of the municipality into the Central Slovenia statistical region.[2]
The local church is dedicated to Saints John and Paul and belongs to the Dole pri Litiji Parish. It is a simple Baroque church, dating to the 18th century.[3]
